I love having a house in Cheyenne for one big reason: Lots of friends and family pass through town and stop by.
Over the last couple of months we've had lots of visitors with more to come. My parents, Candice, Kristy, Jenn and Mike, Jes`us, Lori, Elly, Todd's best friend next week, and maybe my sister and her kids at the end of March.
It's nice to be able to see everyone as frequently as I have.
Lori and Elly came over the week after my parents were here. We had pizza and Old Fashioneds, a Todd speciality, and I made them eat the rest of the German chocolate cake I made for my dad.
What good guests!
Elly...you made the blog!! :)

"Second Life"
People can give me crap about being addicted to Twitter, but so far I haven't seen any reason not to like it. I get interesting information, learn about new things, and "meet" cool people who I might not have a chance to otherwise "know".
I'm just a very social gal. And while I still very much appreciate meeting and knowing someone "in person", I just enjoy being social in lots of different ways.
That's why I so readily agreed to meet up with @TheHollyLane yesterday when she asked me last week if I'd like to get together for coffee. She's seemed so cool online, and it sounded like a great way to meet a potential new friend in Cheyenne!
We went to my beloved City News and what I expected to be an hour long conversation turned into over two! We talked about work, living in Cheyenne, being Twitter and blogger addicts, I got the story on how she and her husband met (and it's a good one!), we talked about mutual friends and how we hoped to meet up again...
She's every bit as cool in person as she appears online and is very genuine and fun. And she treated to coffee! How nice is that??
Check out her blog here. She's got some great stories and you'll love reading about her life as a cowgirl!
And next time, Holly, drink's on me!

Chicago - Day 3
After a second, and final day of social media “conferencing,” I went downtown again to meet up with a couple other friends who live here: Nate, who I went to college with, and Lindsay M., who I worked with at the PR firm in D.C.
It was so great to see them both! And it was fun to introduce these people from two different times in my life. I love doing that!
We went to a place called the Kerryman Pub, a giant pub downtown. We had a beer and split a couple bottles of wine since it was ½ price bottle night – another thing I love! We all had a really great time getting caught up. Nate filled me in on his job, told me about his wife, and pumped me for info on all our college friends. Linds M. gave me all the juicy details about our terrible firm in D.C., how she left, who all left after us, and what was happening there now. The awfulness of the place was really what fueled my decision to leave D.C., and I took an evil delight in hearing how the, ahem, poop, had hit the fan.
Then Nate and I left to find his wife who was having dinner with a girlfriend. She was awesome and I’m hoping we’ll all get to hang out again while I’m here.
Stupidly, I didn’t take any pictures. Not one! We were too busy talking for me to think of it, I guess! I’ll make up for it if we all go out again this week.
