There are lunches and dinners with speakers like the governor and Tracy Ringolsby, a baseball writer originally from Cheyenne, an awards banquet, seminars, and...drinking.
The opening reception was Thursday night at the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle's printing facility, which was a really cool place to have a reception.

Ahhhhh, yes, I remember getting to go to WPA and loving it, from Gillette Campus. I remember the second year figuring out that afterwards is where everyone would meet and listen or play music and drink and talk. Then we joined in the festive mood until wee morning hours:) I also remember visiting with Mable Brown, a wonderful lady and journalist and history instructor, about getting started on my memoirs, and that she was trying to finish her book. I was sorry to hear of her death last October, and will remember her for a long time.
I forgot to add, Kimberly, thanks for the great pictures of the newspaper printing process. I hope Gillette campus was able to send some students this year.
